Fly with your drone, new FPV goggles from DJI.
DJI has introduced new FPV goggles which lets you have an immersive experience of flying with your drone.
The goggles compatible with Mavic Pro/Inspire and Phantom 4 series drones can also be controlled from the goggles.
It gives a VR like first person view (FPV) experience and connects the drone camera to the goggles which enables you to see what the drone camera is capturing. It also has head tracking control with which you can control with camera movements by moving your head.
The pair of screens display in magnificent 3840 x 1080 resolution and wide 85 degree view per screen giving an immersive experience.
With the new ocusync technology there is no or minimal latency (least 110 ms) and transmits 720p/60 fps video for long-range and 1080p/30 fps short-range video. It can stream the video to 4 devices simultaneously, so you can share your flight experience with friends.
With the HDMI port you can stream any video stream from your TV/game to the goggles and use the audio input to stream audio to other headsets.
It comes with a battery of 9440 mAh and can be used for up to 6 hours. It also has SD card slot to download video and images and a touchpad to control the drone functions.
*The only downside is as per reviews the setup is a little bit heavier for continuous usage. As per DJI website, the headband and the goggles weigh about 495g and 500g respectively.
