Razer Blade 14 with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX announced. Razer Blade 14 is back as the world’s most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop, with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processors and the fastest 14-inch game screens, all housed in the world’s most compact 14-inch gaming chassis.
During their E3 keynote, Razer, the world’s top gaming lifestyle brand, announced the return of a gaming legend: the Razer Blade 14. The Blade 14 returns after a three-year absence as the first Razer Blade to utilize an AMD CPU, the 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, which provides the fastest gaming performance in its class. The new Razer Blade 14 will also include the NVIDIA® GeForce RTXTM 3080 Laptop GPU and a Quad HD 165Hz display, all housed in the world’s smallest 14-inch gaming chassis. The signature Razer trappings that have established Razer Blade laptops as one-of-a-kind round out the 14-inch powerhouse, including per-key Razer Chroma RGB backlighting, immersive THX® Spatial Audio for dynamic sound, and an abundance of ports to make everyday life easier.
“When we introduced the Blade 14 in 2013, Razer challenged the industry to think bigger, yet smaller. The original Blade 14 revolutionized the mobile gaming landscape, earned laptop of the decade, and brought us to where we are today,” said Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Razer’s Systems Business Unit. “The new Blade 14 aims to shake up the industry once again by combining Razer’s decade worth of experience in crafting ultra-compact and high-end gaming machines with the power and efficiency of AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors. We are thrilled to bring the ultimate mobile gaming experience to gamers with the Razer Blade 14.”
“As gamers demand lighter and more powerful form factors in gaming laptops, we have remained committed to our goal of delivering best-in-class mobile processors for premium OEM designs,” said Saeid Moshkelani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Client Business Unit, AMD. “We are excited to collaborate with Razer, for the first time ever, by powering the Razer Blade 14 with the best mobile processors we have developed for gaming, the Ryzen 5000 H-Series Mobile Processors.”

Powerful:
With the return of the Blade 14, Razer and AMD have formed an altogether new alliance, resulting in the first Razer Blade to run on an AMD processor. With a high boost rate of up to 4.6GHz, the AMD RyzenTM 9 5900HX 8-core, 16-thread CPU can efficiently dispatch dense tasks, reduce latency when gaming, and chew through demanding applications at fast speeds. The new Blade 14 with AMD RyzenTM not only provides the best raw computational power in its class, but it also does it in a cool, quiet manner, with up to 12 hours of battery life, allowing users to spend less time near an outlet and more time on the road.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, are included in the Blade 14. The RTXTM 30 Series, which is based on NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture, delivers better ray tracing and enhanced AI functions to build more visually immersive worlds. In addition to enhanced graphical performance, the GeForce RTX 30 Series has a number of Max-Q innovations such as Dynamic Boost, Whisper Mode 2.0, and a resizable BAR, all of which help the Blade 14 remain silent yet deadly.
Fast
The Blade 14 is the fastest 14-inch gaming monitor on the market, combining power and visual fidelity. Both IPS-grade panels offer great color coverage, reaching up to 100 percent SRGB on the Full HD panel and up to 100 percent DCI-P3 on the Quad HD panel, with refresh rates ranging from Full HD 144Hz to Quad HD 165Hz. Both panels have a high refresh rate, which when combined with AMD FreeSync Premium technology2 provides a clear and smooth visual gaming experience. Each panel is manually calibrated for color accuracy at the factory to offer a consistent and colorful experience for every user.
Thickness
The Blade 14 boasts an all-aluminum chassis that is carefully milled to remove any superfluous waste in the frame and anodized with a matte black coating to ensure a consistent surface that is distinct to the touch and resistant to scratches, carrying on a heritage of industry-leading compact design. The Blade 14’s chassis has been reduced down to 0.66″ x 8.66″ x 12.59″ to make it not just thin but also compact, making it the world’s smallest 14-inch gaming laptop. To achieve this technical feat, the Blade 14 leverages Razer’s innovative vapour chamber cooling method instead of the bulky and wasteful heat pipe systems that other gaming laptops rely on.
The Blade 14’s vacuum-sealed chamber uses vaporised liquid to dissipate heat away from critical components, while two ultra-low-profile fans, each with 88 fan blades as thin as.1 mm, equivalent to the thickness of a human hair, pull cool air in and push hot air out, ensuring both the CPU and GPU can operate at full capacity while remaining cool.
The Blade 14 is designed to be a multipurpose tool, with a plethora of user-friendly functions that go beyond gaming to improve the everyday experience. A sharp 720p webcam lines the top bezel of the monitor, with an IR sensor for a safe and seamless login via Windows Hello when working away from the office. Razer Chroma RGB per-key accents the vibrant keyboard, which can be adjusted to match any of the 16.8 million colours accessible in Razer Synapse.
Booming speakers flank the keyboard, which can be set for gaming, movies, or music using the built-in THX Spatial Audio technology. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with power delivery, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports for connecting legacy goods, HDMI 2.1 for conveniently attaching into board room media sets, and a 3.5mm jack for listening to rich 3D audio with THX Spatial Audio line the edges of the Blade 14.
