Consumer Technology Association (CTA) on Dec 15, 2020, announced the honorees for CES 2021 Innovation Awards, including the Best of Innovation.
The CES innovation awards is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products. The program recognizes honorees in different consumer technology product categories.
The program recognizes two levels of honorees among the product categories:
Honoree
A product that scores above the threshold set for a specific category.
Best of Innovation
Given to only the highest-rated product in each category, or multiple in the event of a tie. Best of Innovation in each category is not guaranteed.
A panel of industry expert judges reviews applications in each product category based on specific criteria.
The award gives the honoree a logo and usage rights for the award, a trophy, recognition, and the products are displayed in the Innovation Awards honoree listing on CES.tech and the official CES website.
The products should be available in the market from April 1, 2020, and April 1, 2021, for the 2021 awards.
CES 2021 will be an all-digital event taking place between Jan 11-14, 2021.
This is going to be the first-ever all-digital CES event. As per the CES website, the all-digital CES 2021 will continue to be a platform to launch products, engage with global brands, and define the future of the tech industry. The first CES took place in New York City in June 1967.
As per the CES press release, The CES 2021 Innovation Awards received more than 1200 submissions and those designated as honorees, including product descriptions and photos, can be found at CES.tech/innovation. The full list of Best of Innovation and all honorees will be revealed during CES 2021, on Jan. 11, 2021.
